Established in 2009, the University has been accredited nationally and internationally with an A+ grade by NAAC and QS I-Gauge, ARIIA etc. VFSTR places the highest priority on academic excellence coupled with a strong sense of social responsibility. The department of Mechanical Engineering was established in the year 1997. Currently, the department has been NBA accredited till 2026 and internationally ABET accredited till 2030. Department offers programs B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering, B. Tech in Robotics & Automation Engineering, M. Tech in Machine Design and PhD in Mechanical Engineering. The department takes responsibility in organizing guest lectures, seminars, workshops and training programs with the help of engineers and academicians of national and international repute to help students, research scholars and faculty members to keep abreast with the latest developments in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Students are made to embolden future technology by encouraging them to think futuristic by catalysing research and research related activities through the Research and Development (R&D) cell. As a result of the department’s forthright Research activities, numerous students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering have placed their foot prints in many International and National Companies.
