Resource Person for a Seminar on Approaches to Pharmacological Management of Stress
Dr Jithendra Chimakurthy, Head- Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, was invited for as a resource person by the Hindu College of Pharmacy, for a Seminar on Approaches to Pharmacological Management of Stress. The seminar is intended to create an awareness in the Students of Pharmaceutical Sciences about the physiology involved in the occurrence of stress and consequences of stress, it also emphasizes the role of Drugs in management of stress. Students as a part of their role as community pharmacists should be engaged in creating awareness about such consequences to the General Public. About 200 students of UG/PG and Faculty attended the Talk.

Vignan University Secures Runner-Up Position in KL Memorial T-10 Cricket Championship 2025 at K L University
Vignan University’s cricket team, VFSTR, delivered an outstanding performance in the KL Memorial T-10 Cricket Championship 2025, which was held at KL University from March 18 to March 22, and secured the runner-up position in a highly competitive tournament among 18 teams from different universities. Led by captain Tarun Malla, vice-captain Abhishek, and other team members, the team showcased remarkable skill and determination. Among the players, II B.Pharmacy student Shubham Kumar Kushwaha from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences contributed significantly to securing the runner-up position in the tournament.

Vignan University Student Wins First Prize in E-Poster Competition at Bapatla College of Pharmacy's Cultural and Techno Event 2025
Sajid Alam, a 3rd-year B.Pharmacy student from the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Vignan University (VFSTR) has secured the First Prize in the E-Poster Competition at the prestigious Cultural and Techno Event – BPOC Prathibhosav- 2025, organized by Bapatla College of Pharmacy. The event was held on March 21 and 22, 2025, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various pharmacy Institutions.

Invited Lecture as a Resource Person on Quality by Design: Theoretical Perspectives and Implementation for Dosage Form Optimization by Dr. Grandhi Srikar
Dr. Grandhi Srikar was invited as a resource person for the two-day UGC-sponsored national seminar on "Recent Advancements in Software-Based Approaches in Pharmaceutical Research," organized by the University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, on March 11th and 12th, 2025. Dr. Srikar delivered a talk on the title “Quality by Design: Theoretical Perspectives and Implementation for Dosage Form Optimization” on the second day of the seminar. He explained the theoretical concepts of QbD in pharmaceutical product and process optimization. He also gave a demonstration by taking an example of formulation optimization using the Design Expert software. The session was ended by an explanation to the queries raised by the audience, followed by a felicitation to the resource person by the organizers. The session happened well, and Dr. Srikar received excellent feedback.

Dr. Afzal Basha Shaik was invited as a resource person for the two-day UGC-sponsored national seminar on "Recent Advancements in Software-Based Approaches in Pharmaceutical Research," organized by the University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, on March 11th and 12th, 2025. Dr. Afzal delivered a talk on the title “Beyond the Bench: Software Tools to Enhance Pharmaceutical Research and Communication” on the second day of the seminar and this explored cutting-edge digital tools revolutionizing drug discovery, data analysis, and scientific collaboration. The talk highlights AI-driven platforms, molecular modeling software, and virtual screening tools that accelerate pharmaceutical research. It also emphasizes tools for effective scientific communication, including visualization and documentation software. The outcome is a deeper understanding of how technology enhances efficiency, fosters collaboration, and streamlines drug development, ultimately leading to faster and more effective therapeutic solutions. The session concluded with a detailed response to the audience's queries, followed by a felicitation ceremony honoring the resource person by the organizers. The event was conducted successfully, and Dr. Afzal received outstanding feedback.

Pharmacy College - International Conference Curtain Raiser
A three-day international conference will be held at Vadlamudi Vignan Pharmacy College in Chebrolu mandal from January 30, college principal Dr P Srinivasa Babu said on Tuesday. Dr. Lavu Rathaiah, Chairman, Vignan’s Educational Institutions, unveiled the brochure of the International Conference at the event. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College Dr. P. Srinivasa Babu said that a three-day international conference on "Emerging Trends in Personalized Drug Discoveries – A Futuristic Approach" is being organized with the theme "Next Gen Pharma Connect-2025". Dr. Montukumar M. Patel, President, Pharmacy Council of India will be the chief guest at the event on the first day of the International Conference, Dr. S.L.N. Prasad Reddy, Member, PCI Central Council, New Delhi, Dr. M. Venkata Ramana, Member, PCI Central Council, New Delhi and Dr. M. William Carey, Registrar, AP Pharmacy Council will be the guest of honour. Dr. Jagadish Babu Rangisetty, Founder and CEO, Biofor India Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad will be the chief guest at the valedictory function, Dr. Manik Reddy Pullagurla, Co-Founder, Biofor India Pharmaceuticals Pvt. MoU between Vignan’s University and Therellen Pharma Pvt Ltd
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Vadlamudi Vignan’s University in Chebrolu mandal and Therellen Pharma Pvt Ltd in Hyderabad, the university's vice-chancellor Colonel and Professor P Nagabhushan said on Wednesday. At a function organised on the occasion, the University's Dean PCF Dr Dirishala Vijayaramu exchanged documents related to the MoU with Yalamanchili Srinivasa Rao, CEO and Managing Director of Therellen Pharma Pvt Ltd. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor of the university said that under this MoU, two students studying in M.Pharmacy will be given Rs 10,000 per month for two years. Scholarships will be awarded to five batches of students from the academic year 2024-25 to the academic year 2029-30. In addition, the faculty exchange programme, joint research, faculty training program, academic training program, technical assistance, and development projects can be facilitated.
Joint training programmes, workshops, seminars and industry-academia interactions will be organized to enhance skill development among students, faculty and researchers. Apart from this, we will also provide internship opportunities to students, provide practical industry experience and promote professional growth. We will work together to address the challenges faced by the industries and develop innovative solutions for them. Speaking on the occasion, Yelamanchili Srinivasa Rao, CEO and Managing Director of Therellen Pharma Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad, said, "We are very happy to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vignan’s University. The objective of the agreement is to encourage faculty and students towards new technologies and train them in their respective fields. Vice Chancellor Colonel, Prof. P. Nagabhushan, Deans, Heads, Staff and Students of the respective departments of the University were present on the occasion.

Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences has successfully completed the 2 days conference
Gokaraju Gangaraju, CMD of Laila Group Companies suggested that students should be honest and dedicated towards the pharmacy profession. The first two-day state-level conference on "Recent Trends in Pharmaceutical and Applied Sciences for Global Development" was held under the joint auspices of Akhil Bharat Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Vigyans Colleges of Chebrolu Mandal Vadlamudi Vigyans University Farence Sunday ended on a grand note. Gokaraju Gangaraju, CMD of Laila Group of Companies, who attended the program as the chief guest, said that students should acquire enough knowledge and skills from different parts of the world to benefit the Indian population. Emphasizes hard work, discipline and commitment to work to achieve success in life.
More than 600 students from various pharmacy institutions participated in the oral and poster presentations, quiz competitions, interactive technology demonstrations and innovation demonstrations organized for the students as part of the conference. The winners were presented with certificates of appreciation and cash prizes of Rs.8000 for the first prize, Rs.6000 for the second prize and Rs.4000 for the third prize. ABVP State Organizing Secretary, Central Executive Member, Dharmapracharak Ramineni, Chairman of Ramineni Foundation, Dr. P Muralidharan, Head of Department of Biotechnology, Bapatla College of Pharmacy, S.
