About Event
The academic visit to Amaravati and Undavalli Caves provided a comprehensive exploration of India's rich cultural and historical heritage for civil services students. At Amaravati, students delved into the intricacies of the ancient Stupa, renowned for its unique design and symbolism in Buddhist art. They had the opportunity to examine the museum's extensive collection of Buddhist sculptures, inscriptions, and relics, which offered valuable insights into the life and teachings of Buddha, as well as the profound influence of Buddhism on art, culture, and architecture in ancient India. Standing before the Dhyana Buddha Statue, students experienced the serenity and depth of Buddhist iconography, which allowed them to connect more personally with India’s spiritual and philosophical traditions.
