About Guest Lecture
The 57th National Library Week celebration kicked off with an inspiring guest talk by Shri Kiran Prabha, the founder and editor of the web magazine Koumudi. His thought-provoking address captivated a large audience of students, offering deep insights into the art of storytelling and stressing the importance of reading authentic and genuine biographies of great historical figures. Students were particularly moved by Sri Kiran’s emphasis on the value of learning from the lives of remarkable individuals and how their stories can inspire and guide future generations. As the week progressed, the focus shifted to creative and intellectual engagement through a series of competitions held at the NTR Library. The essay competition invited participants to reflect on the theme "Libraries as Gateways to Knowledge: Past, Present, and Future," encouraging students to think critically about the evolving role of libraries in society. The elocution competition centered on the theme "Preserving Cultural Heritage: Libraries as Custodians of Knowledge," where students eloquently expressed their views on how libraries help safeguard and transmit cultural wisdom across generations. Additionally, a painting competition with the theme "A World of Wisdom Under One Roof" saw participants showcasing their artistic talents, reflecting the idea of libraries as sanctuaries of knowledge and creativity. These activities drew enthusiastic participation from students across Vignan University’s various institutions, creating an atmosphere of healthy competition and collective learning. The events collectively highlighted the profound role that libraries play not only in providing access to knowledge but also in preserving culture, fostering creativity, and inspiring future leaders. The celebrations left a lasting impact on the student community, emphasizing the significance of libraries as integral spaces for personal and academic growth.
