The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized a guest lecture on Regulatory Compliance in the Pharmaceutical Industry: Practical Approaches and Insights for B. Pharm. And M. Pharmacy students students on 15th Nov 2025 (Saturday). Mr. K. Bhanu Prasad, Managing Director, Bhan Pharma info Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad, was the esteemed resource person. He delivered Regulatory compliance ensures that pharmaceutical companies follow legal, ethical, and quality standards to guarantee the safety, efficacy, and quality of medicines. It involves adhering to guidelines set by agencies like USFDA, EMA, and CDSCO. Key compliance areas include Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Good Clinical Practices (GCP). Practical approaches involve implementing robust Quality Management Systems (QMS), documentation control, risk management, and regular audits. Continuous employee training, validation of processes and equipment, and maintaining data integrity are essential. Compliance also supports faster approvals, builds trust, prevents recalls, and ensures public safety. The event was well-attended by faculty members and students of the department. Dr. Ch. Jithendra, HoD, chaired the session, while Dr. M.V. Ramana, Assistant Professor, coordinated the program.
