Summary
The Vignan Institute of Law, VFSTR, organized Constitution Week Celebrations with the objective of promoting constitutional values, enhancing legal awareness among students, and reaffirming the institutions commitment to promoting responsible citizenship. The week-long observance was planned to provide students with both theoretical insights and practical exposure to constitutional principles, rights-based discourse, and contemporary legal issues. As part of the celebrations, a series of academic and outreach activities were conducted to deepen participants and students understanding of the Indian Constitution and its relevance in modern governance. A major highlight of the celebrations was the NALSAs New Module Camp held on 22nd November 2025, which aimed at spreading legal awareness among students and ensuring their engagement with current legal rights and welfare mechanisms. The camp featured multiple sessions delivered by judges from the Guntur District Court, who shared their expertise on various critical issues affecting society today.

The session on the Rights of Unorganized Workers by Smt. Gayathri, Labour Commissioner Guntur shed light on the vulnerabilities faced by the unorganized sector and emphasized the welfare schemes, statutory protections, and grievance-redressal mechanisms available to safeguard their interests. The resource persons explained how legal literacy plays a vital role in empowering these workers and strengthening access to justice for marginalized communities. Later the sessions by Sri. Syed Jiyauddin, DLSA Secretary cum Senior Civil Judge, Sri Y. Gopala Krishna, Additional District Judge and Sri B Sai Kalyan Chakravarthi, Honble Principal District and Sessions Judge, Guntur Cum Chairman DLSA focused on Anti-Drug Abuse, addressing the rising concerns related to narcotic substance misuse among youth. The speakers highlighted the legal consequences under the NDPS Act, the psychological impacts of addiction, and the importance of awareness and preventive action within educational institutions. This was followed by a detailed discussion on Anti-Ragging Measures, where the judges sensitized students about the legal framework prohibiting ragging, including institutional responsibilities, student duties, and penalties for violations and a detailed session on the Motor Vehicles Act, emphasizing road safety, legal obligations of drivers, and penalties associated with traffic violations. The judges elaborated on the importance of responsible driving, compliance with traffic regulations, and the legal implications of negligence on the road. These sessions were impactful as it connected legal literacy with everyday life. Following the awareness sessions, the camp also included community-oriented activities such as helmet distribution to promote road safety and encourage adherence to the law. Additionally, E-Shram Cards were distributed to eligible beneficiaries, thereby enabling unorganized workers to access social security benefits under government welfare schemes. These initiatives highlighted the institute’s commitment to bridging the gap between legal awareness and practical implementation of welfare measures. Later Prizes were also given to the winners from schools and colleges relating to the Essay writing and Painting Competitions on Child Rights held during August and September 2025. The Constitution Week Celebrations at Vignan Institute of Law, VFSTR, successfully combined academic discourse with community outreach, creating a rich and meaningful learning experience for students. The active participation of the judiciary, faculty members, and students made the event impactful and aligned with the constitutional vision of justice, equality, and human dignity.
