Cambridge MoU with University of Vignan
Professor P. Nagabhushan, Vice-Chancellor of Vignan’s University said on Wednesday that the English Assessment Department of the prestigious Cambridge University in England has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Linguistic Certification in English Language with Vignan’s University of Chebrolu Mandal Vadlamudi. Dr. MS Raghunathan, registrar of Vignan’s University presented the documents of understanding regarding the MoU to Cambridge University South Asia Regional Director Arunachalam and South India DGM Karthi Subramanian in the program organized on this occasion. On this occasion, University Vice Chancellor Professor P. Nagabhushan informed that Cambridge University is the first in the world to introduce language skill certification in English language in their university.
Besides, Cambridge will establish a center of excellence and industry partners from all over the world and entrepreneurs from all over the world to interact with the students, he said. Collaborating on research, a joint project to study the impact of Cambridge certification exams on students' language skills is already in progress. It furthers the mission of providing high-level training and certification to enhance students' language skills. He said that the New Language Skill online test can check the English levels of students through artificial intelligence technology. The modules test the four language skills of speaking, writing, reading and listening. It has been revealed that a large number of their students have been attending the certification courses conducted by Cambridge University for several years and almost one hundred percent of them have passed.
He said that as a result of the special courses conducted at the University of Cambridge University, the students here are able to learn the English language with international standards. He said that they are also getting plenty of job opportunities. He said that Cambridge University has made a memorandum of understanding by considering all these factors.
