Research Projects
Our diverse research portfolio spans cutting-edge projects aimed at tackling real-world engineering and societal challenges. We investigate the enhancement of aluminum alloys using ultrasonic vibrations, advancing materials science for stronger, more resilient alloys. In sustainable fuel development, our team formulates optimized gasoline-alcohol blends to boost engine performance while reducing emissions. We're also implementing solar-powered technologies to provide clean water and sewage treatment in rural communities, alongside initiatives to uplift the livelihoods of underrepresented communities. To support MSMEs, we're building a cost-effective automated additive manufacturing hub, and in robotics, we're pioneering a coconut-harvesting robot for agricultural applications. These projects exemplify our commitment to innovation and social impact across mechanical and robotic engineering.

Our Research Facilities
Mechanical Engineering department is equipped with cutting-edge research facilities that support a wide range of innovative projects. Key labs include the Robotics and Automation Lab, Advanced Manufacturing Lab, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machines Lab, Strength of Materials Lab and the Fuels and IC Engines Lab, all designed to foster hands-on learning and advanced research. Our high-performance computing resources also support complex simulations in Computational Fluid Dynamics, Robot Operating System (ROS) and other areas of Mechanical Engineering.
