The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Vignan s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research (VFSTR), Guntur, Andhra Pradesh successfully organized a two-day CCSEA Sponsored National Conference on Redefining Experimental Pharmacology on 13th and 14th March, 2026 at the Sangamitra Conference Hall, N-Block. The conference served as a vibrant academic platform aimed at re-defining modern approaches in experimental pharmacology while fostering innovations, ethical practices and interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers, academicians and industry professionals.
The inaugural session commenced with a formal welcome for a knowledge-rich and engaging scientific gathering. The conference brought together eminent scientists and experts from reputed government research organizations such as IICT, CCMB, CCSEA, CSIR and ICMR, NIN. Their presence significantly enriched the scientific depth and relevance of the event.
A total of six scientific sessions were conducted over the two days, each addressing critical advancements and emerging perspectives in experimental pharmacology. Distinguished speakers including Dr. Vivek Tyagi, Dr. Sistla Rama Krishna, Dr. Harishankar, Dr. Suresh Babu, Dr Vijay Kumar, Dr Venkatesh and Dr. Mahesh delivered insightful lectures. Their presentations covered a wide spectrum of topics such as innovative experimental models, ethical considerations in animal research, applicability in pharmacology and cutting-edge methodologies shaping the future of drug discovery and development. One of the key highlights of the conference was the industry-oriented one-to-one interaction session conducted with scientists from Laila Nutraceuticals Pvt. Ltd., Andhra Pradesh.
