The department focuses on computational and data-driven innovations in health, environment, and agriculture, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals(UNSDGs).
The department strives for global excellence in health, agriculture, and environmental research, focusing on Nanozymes, Probiotics, Environmental and Medical Biotechnology, Industrial Biotechnology, NGS data analysis, and AI/ML in drug design. It has completed funded projects and is currently executing 6 government-funded projects worth Rs739 lakhs (ICMR, CSIR, DST) and 3 consultancy projects worth Rs7 lakhs, with active student involvement.
