Two Days Faculty Development Program on NIRF & Tier-I Accreditation
Dr. Ramakrishna M, Dean-IQAC, VFSTR, delivered an insightful and informative speech during the Two Days Faculty Development Program on NIRF & Tier-I Accreditation held on 02.02.2026 to 03.02.2026 at the Conference Hall of Raajdhani Engineering College, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. In his address, he emphasized the significance of quality enhancement in higher education through systematic accreditation processes and institutional ranking frameworks. He elaborated on the key parameters of NIRF, including teaching-learning, research and professional practice, graduation outcomes, outreach, and perception, highlighting the importance of strategic planning and data-driven documentation. He also discussed the essential requirements for achieving Tier-I accreditation, focusing on outcome-based education, continuous quality improvement, and institutional best practices. His session provided valuable guidance to faculty members on strengthening academic and administrative processes, ensuring quality benchmarks, and enhancing institutional visibility at national and international levels.

Workshop on the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).
Dr. Ramakrishna Malkapuram, Dean-IQAC and Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (VFSTR), was felicitated by Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha, for serving as a resource person at the NIRF Workshop held on 2-3 February 2026. Dr. Malkapuram delivered an expert session highlighting recent developments, evaluation parameters, and best practices related to the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). BPUT acknowledged his valuable contribution and commended his insightful presentation, which significantly benefited the participants and contributed to the success of the workshop.

Dr. Jyothi, IQAC, Vignan University, Andhra Pradesh, has been honoured with a Letter of Appreciation by Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha, for her contribution as a resource person at the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Workshop held on 2-3 February 2026. During the workshop, Dr. Jyothi delivered an expert session focusing on recent developments, evaluation parameters, and best practices related to NIRF. Her insightful and practical presentation significantly benefited faculty members and institutional representatives participating in the program. BPUT acknowledged her valuable contribution and appreciated her role in enhancing participant's understanding of institutional ranking and its effective implementation.

Faculty Orientation Program
Dr. V. Srinivasadesikan, Joint Dean-IQAC, delivered a talk on “Role of Faculty in Regulatory Bodies, Accreditation, and Rankings†during the Faculty Orientation Program (FOP) held at the Third Floor, Library, on 23 January 2026. He highlighted the crucial role played by faculty members in various accreditation and ranking systems, and emphasized the importance of systematic documentation and maintenance of records for all academic and administrative activities. He also stressed that to know the credentials of VFSTR is essential for faculty members. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, following which Dr. Chavan congratulated Dr. V. Srinivasadesikan for delivering an excellent and informative talk.

Academic Audit at Vignan Institute of Technology and Science (VGNT)
An Academic Audit was conducted at Vignan Institute of Technology and Science (VGNT) from January 22 to January 25, 2026, by a four-member team from the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research. The audit team comprised Dr. Ramakrishna Malkapuram, Dean-IQAC; Dr. Y. Jyothi, Deputy Dean-IQAC; Dr. K. Pramod, Associate Dean-IQAC; and Mr. Sumit Ragho Gawai, Assistant Dean-IQAC. The team carried out a comprehensive evaluation of academic processes, teaching-learning practices, documentation, and quality assurance mechanisms followed by the institution. During the four-day visit, the team interacted with faculty members, reviewed departmental records, and assessed various academic and administrative practices to ensure adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement strategies. Following the rigorous audit process, the team submitted a detailed report to the institution highlighting observations, best practices, and recommendations for further academic enhancement. The audit is expected to contribute significantly to strengthening VGNT's quality assurance framework and academic excellence.

Awareness Session on NBA New Self-Assessment Report (SAR)-GAPC V4.0 (Tier-I)
This awareness session, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) on December 31, 2025, successfully oriented 30 faculty members from the Biotechnology and Bioinformatics departments toward the revised NBA Self-Assessment Report (SAR) GAPC V4.0 for Tier-I accreditation. Conducted by Dr. Jyothhi, Deputy Dean of IQAC, the program focused on critical updates such as outcome-based education, explicit alignment with graduate attributes and sustainability goals, quantitative attainment analysis, and enhanced requirements for faculty contributions and continuous improvement. The session provided detailed guidance on documentation, common accreditation pitfalls, and best practices, ultimately enhancing faculty preparedness and clarity regarding their roles in evidence-driven processes and systematic data management required under the new framework.

On December 30, 2025, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized an extensive awareness session on the NBA Self-Assessment Report (SAR) GAPC V4.0, specifically for 165 faculty members from the Advanced CSE and CSE departments at the Seminar Hall, N-Block, led by Dr. Y. Jyothhi, Deputy Dean of IQAC. The session provided a thorough orientation to the revised accreditation framework, emphasizing its critical focus on outcome-based education, quantitative attainment of course and program outcomes, mandatory integration of sustainability goals and industry engagement, and the heightened need for evidence-driven documentation and systematic continuous improvement. Through detailed coverage of SAR structure, common deficiencies, and best practices for Tier-I compliance, the program successfully engaged faculty in clarifying key processes, thereby significantly enhancing their preparedness and understanding of their pivotal roles in the data-driven accreditation requirements under the new GAPC V4.0 guidelines.
