Six CSE Students Selected as Google Student Ambassadors for 2026
Six students from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology and Research, have been selected as Google Student Ambassadors for 2026. The selected students are Gurram Mohan, Aashay Kumar, Parupalli S D J Sri Bhavana, Dhanush Matcha, Kotapati Harshitha Chowdari and Pavuluri Vyshnavi. CSE Department NSS Team Conducts Educational Session on Hardware Components of a Computer at Jagarlamudi
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, through the NSS Team, conducted an educational session on Hardware Components of a Computer at ZPHS High School, Jagarlamudi, on 13 August 2026 from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM. The session was attended by 34 students and was coordinated by Mr. Akhil, Mr. Kiran and Ms. Archana. The session aimed to create awareness among students about computer hardware and its importance in everyday life. The participants were introduced to essential internal components of a computer, including the motherboard, processor, RAM, ROM, memory, storage devices, power supply and cooling systems. A practical demonstration enabled the students to observe the internal components of a CPU and understand their basic functions. The session also provided an overview of how the different components communicate, how data is processed and how the final output is displayed. The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions and helped them develop a better understanding of the internal working of computers through practical learning.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Computing and Informatics, conducted an ANRF sponsored Five Day National Seminar titled Next Gen Healthcare Biomedical Imaging through Quantum Driven Deep Learning QuBioDL 2K26 from 27 July 2026 to 31 July 2026 in hybrid mode. The seminar provided a platform for academicians, researchers, industry experts, faculty members and students to explore recent advancements in quantum computing, biomedical imaging, deep learning and healthcare technologies. The programme included keynote lectures, technical sessions and hands on workshops covering quantum computing, biomedical image processing, deep learning, quantum algorithms, hybrid quantum classical workflows, IBM Quantum Experience, Qiskit programming, healthcare applications, ethics, data privacy and future research opportunities. The seminar witnessed participation from 450 attendees, including more than 300 online participants and more than 100 offline participants. The interactive sessions, demonstrations and real world case studies provided participants with theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to emerging technologies in healthcare. The seminar also emphasized collaboration among academia, industry, healthcare professionals and government organizations for developing innovative and responsible healthcare solutions. The programme enhanced the knowledge, skills and research outlook of the participants and encouraged interdisciplinary research in next generation intelligent healthcare systems.

CSE Student Sriteja Publishes the Book Akari Uttaram and Receives Recognition from the Honble Chairman
Sriteja, a fourth year student of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering with Registration Number 231FA04944, has successfully published a book titled Akari Uttaram. In recognition of this achievement, the Honble Chairman of Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research presented Sriteja with a cash award of Rs. 5,000 for his accomplishment as a published author. The achievement reflects Sriteja’s literary and creative interests beyond the academic curriculum and represents a notable accomplishment in his student journey.

ANRF Sponsored National Seminar QuBioDL 2K26
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vignans Foundation for Science, Technology and Research, is organizing the ANRF sponsored Five Day National Seminar on Next Gen Healthcare: Biomedical Imaging through Quantum Driven Deep Learning, QuBioDL 2K26, from 27 Jul 2026 to 31 Jul 2026. The seminar will be conducted in hybrid mode at SareGamaPa Seminar Hall, N Block, First Floor, Room No. 111, VFSTR University. The programme focuses on the foundations of quantum computing, biomedical imaging, deep learning models for medical image analysis, and real time healthcare applications. It also includes hands on sessions using IBM Quantum Experience, Qiskit, and Microsoft QDK. Experts from IITs, NITs, IIITs, Central Universities, IBM, Microsoft, and healthcare technology firms will serve as resource persons. CSE Department Celebrates 171 Student Selections in TCS NQT 2026
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vignans Foundation for Science, Technology and Research, proudly celebrates the outstanding performance of its students in the TCS NQT 2026 results. A total of 171 students from the department were selected by TCS across Prime, Digital, and Ninja categories. Among them, 38 students were selected for Prime with 9.09 LPA, 47 students were selected for Digital with 7.09 LPA, and 86 students were selected for Ninja with 3.46 LPA. This achievement reflects the dedication, perseverance, technical competence, and career readiness of the students. The success of these achievers also highlights the academic strength, placement focus, and continuous mentoring support provided by the Department of CSE. Intel AI for Future Workforce 2026 Bootcamp
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology & Research successfully conducted the Intel AI for Future Workforce 2026 Bootcamp in collaboration with Intel Digital Readiness. The three-day intensive bootcamp was designed to empower students with future-ready Artificial Intelligence skills and industry-oriented problem-solving abilities. A total of 80 students across 23 teams from B.Tech and M.Tech Computer Science and Engineering programmes participated in the bootcamp and presented innovative AI-driven solutions to real-world challenges. The sessions focused on Design Thinking, problem identification, AI prototyping, product development, architecture design, solution building, project pitching, and presentation skills. The event reflected VFSTRs continued commitment to strengthening AI education, industry collaboration, innovation, and student employability through practical and experiential learning.

MoU with Intel Technology India Private Limited
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at VFSTR organized the Intel AI for Future Workforce Certificate Distribution Ceremony and Agentic AI Session on 24-Apr-2026. The event highlighted VFSTRs significant collaboration with Intel Technology India Private Limited, marked by a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening digital readiness, Artificial Intelligence education, and industry-oriented skill development among students. The Intel Digital Readiness Program was conducted from 16-Mar-2026 to 02-Apr-2026 and covered key areas such as AI for Sustainability, Computer Vision, and Natural Language Processing. Out of 672 registered students, 601 students successfully received certifications. The programme also featured insightful sessions on Agentic AI and Generative AI, emphasizing future-ready AI learning, faculty development, co-branded certifications, and enhanced employability opportunities for students.

The NSS team from the Department of CSE distributed exam pads, pens, and pencils to the 10th class students of Vijendla Government School to support them in their upcoming board examinations. Stack Hack 2025 - Application Development Hackathon
The Department of CSE, Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (VFSTR), conducted “Stack Hackâ€, a 72-hour Application Development Hackathon from 06 to 08 November 2025. The event aimed to strengthen students’ real-world development skills by guiding them through end-to-end product building under time constraints. Participants worked in teams to plan, design, develop, test, and present working application prototypes, focusing on practical problem-solving, clean implementation, and effective presentation. The hackathon encouraged creativity, collaboration, and rapid debugging, while giving students hands-on exposure to modern application development workflows.
