Our Research Facilities
The Department of Bioinformatics is equipped with advanced computer workstations that support high-end research in drug design and biological data analysis. In addition, the department provides access to facilities such as a clean room for cell culture, a fermentation unit, a biogas plant, and an algae cultivation system—offering students valuable hands-on experience in biotechnology and sustainable bioresource applications. Students actively participate in projects related to bioremediation and microbial technologies to address environmental challenges and develop innovative bio-products. A dedicated medicinal plant garden further enriches learning by integrating traditional knowledge with modern bioinformatics tools to support plant-based drug discovery and pharmaceutical research.
