Mentoring scholars in research has been a highly impactful component of my academic career. Facilitating the development of students’ research hypotheses, and providing guidance in formulating robust experimental methodologies, statistical analyses, and data interpretation, has been intellectually enriching. Observing their progression from novice investigators to independent researchers capable of critical thinking and scientific inquiry is profoundly gratifying.
As a faculty member, conducting research in biomedical engineering is both exciting and rewarding. The interdisciplinary nature of the field allows us to work closely with experts from biology, materials science, and clinical medicine, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
