Summary
The Team UEAC, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Vignan University, conducted an awareness program on Safe Use of Home Medical Devices at Suddapalli village on 10 January 2026. The program was held from 02 30 PM to 03 50 PM with the active participation of 13 NSS student volunteers. The initiative aimed to educate villagers on the safe and effective use of commonly used home medical devices such as blood pressure monitors, glucometers, thermometers, nebulizers, and pulse oximeters. The volunteers provided practical guidance on correct device operation, maintenance, hygiene, calibration, and safe storage. They also highlighted common mistakes to avoid and emphasized the importance of consulting healthcare professionals when abnormal readings are observed. The interactive sessions encouraged villagers to ask questions and clarify doubts related to health monitoring. The program was well received by the community and successfully enhanced awareness, strengthened student community interaction, and reinforced UEACs commitment to health awareness, community service, and social responsibility.
