The Value-added course on UV-Visible Spectroscopy and Its Applications was designed to introduce the principles, techniques, applications and practical knowledge of UV-Visible spectroscopy in various fields of science and industry to the I B.Tech Section 47 students. The course focused on both theoretical and practical aspects of spectroscopy, with an emphasis on understanding the instrument operation, data interpretation, and the diverse range of applications across different sectors such as pharmaceuticals, food safety, and chemical analysis which includes quantitative applications and qualitative applications. This program covered introduction to UV-Visible Spectroscopy, Instrumental components along with block diagram. It also emphasized on applications of UV visible spectroscopy in Various Fields, This course also focused on recent advances in UV visible spectroscopy and future trends. This course also provided students with Hands-on training of UV-Visible spectrometers, Real-time analysis of different samples. Data interpretation exercises to help students practice extracting meaningful information from spectral data. Overall, this value-added course significantly contributed to the holistic development of the participants by integrating chemical principles with different applications, thereby fostering analytical thinking, scientific curiosity, and academic excellence among the students.
