Guest Lecture on “Implementation of Food Safety at the Field Levelâ€
The Department of Food Technology, School of Agriculture and Food Technology, Vignan’s Foundation for Science, Technology and Research (VFSTR), organized a guest lecture on the topic “Implementation of Food Safety at the Field Level†on 30th January 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, at VSF-09, 2nd Floor, H-Block, VFSTR, Vadlamudi, Guntur. The session was conducted with the objective of providing students with practical knowledge and awareness about food safety regulations, implementation strategies, and the importance of maintaining food safety standards at the field level.
The guest speaker for the session was Mr. Siva Teja Vadde, Food Safety Officer, Government of Andhra Pradesh, who has extensive experience in monitoring, regulating, and enforcing food safety standards. The session began with a warm welcome and introduction of the speaker, highlighting his professional experience and contributions to ensuring food safety and public health.
During the lecture, Mr. Siva Teja Vadde explained the importance of food safety in protecting consumer health and preventing foodborne illnesses.
