The purpose of organizing an industrial visit to Akron Parenterals Private Limited, Narasaraopet, is to provide B. Pharm students with direct exposure to the real-time functioning of a parenteral manufacturing unit. The visit aims to help students understand sterile manufacturing processes, including aseptic processing, cleanroom operations, environmental monitoring, and quality control procedures followed in parenteral production. It also enables them to observe the use of advanced equipment such as autoclaves, filtration units, filling and sealing machines, and packaging systems used for sterile formulations. The visit is intended to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge taught in classrooms and practical industrial practices by allowing students to witness Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory compliance measures adopted in injectable drug manufacturing. It also aims to enhance their understanding of quality assurance, quality risk management, documentation practices, and safety protocols essential in a sterile environment.
