The Department of ECE excels in education, research, and industry collaboration. Globally recognized, the department holds ABET accreditation for six years and NBA accreditation for three years, reflecting our dedication to delivering world-class education and preparing students for future challenges. ABET accreditation, now makes our graduate students eligible to apply for the Professional Engineer license in the USA. This accreditation is also highly valued in Europe, as it aligns with the European higher education and engineering frameworks, facilitating easier mobility of graduates across borders for employment or further studies. Furthermore, NBA accreditation plays a vital role in maintaining quality education at a national level, assuring stakeholders that the program meets the requirements of both industry and academia within India. During my time at Vignan University, I had the privilege of utilizing the state-of-the-art Microwave Laboratory and the Center of Excellence (CoE-RF) in Antenna Design. These resources were pivotal in shaping my understanding of complex microwave and antenna technologies. The hands-on experience I gained, along with the guidance from faculty, played a significant role in my journey towards becoming a Research Scientist at SAMEER, MIETY, Govt. of India. The well-equipped labs helped me build a strong foundation in areas like high-power antenna design, microwave tube testing, and integration. My work on radar modules for the Indian Army and Air Force during my tenure as a Junior Research Fellow at LRDE, DRDO was greatly influenced by this practical experience. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work with advanced tools such as Optiwave and Lumerical software to design photonics circuits, which culminated in publishing an IEEE paper on 'Photonics Integrated Circuits' in 2024.

The availability of advanced design tools such as Cadence, Synopsys, and Siemens with support of the C2S scheme, MeitY has been a major enabler of high-quality research in the VLSI design research centre. These tools allow us to perform in-depth design, simulation, and verification of complex VLSI circuits. The availability of FPGA boards and real-time testing platforms further enhances the practical implementation of research ideas, enabling the transition from theoretical models to hardware prototypes.

The Department has distinguished faculty, with M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees from renowned institutes like IIT’s, NIT’s, Central Universities, etc., Most of them are GATE/NET qualified.
The teaching methodology adopted by the Department is in complete synergy with the latest and evolving market challenges and trends. We follow highly interactive, student-centric, and innovative teaching methodologies that emphasize learning by experimenting and experiencing to groom future technical leaders and managers. These include case studies, group discussions, seminars, projects, quizzes, and special lectures of experts from the corporation.
The department has state-of-the-art, modern, and well-equipped Laboratories with adequate facilities. Students get all the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) support in their Smart Classrooms and are encouraged to perform as digital learners.
