 ADMISSION INTO M.Sc. (Chemistry , Organic Chemistry)
Programme Objectives
  • To enable the students to get placed in various industries such as pharmaceutical/drugs, fertilizers, paints-dyes and batteries-fuel cells etc. or able to start his own startup company.
  • To provide opportunities to the students for preparing for higher studies such Ph.D. in top Indian institutes or abroad towards contemporary and cutting edge research areas through competitive exams such as GATE, CSIR/UGC-JRF and GRE-TOEFL etc.
  • To train the students towards best teachers in academic institutions of both Govt. and private, with modern pedagogical teaching methodologies in chemical sciences.
    • Course Highlights

    The M.Sc. Chemistry course structure is unique catering to the diverse global needs of industry and academia. The students will undergo a combination of intensive skill-based courses with a hands-on approach with the following highlights:

  • 50 % of seats allocated to merit scholarships (100 %, 50 % and 25 %)of total worth of 5.25 Lakhs.
  • Admissions available for both Mathematics and biology background students.
  • Project and skills oriented curriculum for global industrial jobs.
  • Best faculty with Ph.D. degrees from reputed institutes like IITs, Central Universities and abroad.
  • Special training for improving communication skills and computer software handling skills.
  • Industrial training in industries and summer internship in both industries and reputed central institutes.
  • Special training for GATE, CSIR/UGC-JRF (NET) and GRE-TOEFL
  • Opportunities to work in 2 crore Govt. funded Vignan's R & D labs

  • Admission into M.Sc. (Chemistry ,Organic Chemistry)- 60% aggregate marks (above 6.5 CGPA) in any B.Sc. Degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects and qualified in written test and Interview conducted by the University.
  • Note: Candidates appearing for qualifying examination and awaiting results can also apply.

  • The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the result obtained in written test and interview conducted by VFSTRU, provided if he/she gets the required minimum marks in the qualifying examination as per the eligibility criteria. Admissions will be purely on merit and by following the reservation policy applicable to Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (Deemed to be University).
  • A common merit list will be prepared based on the performance in written test and interview conducted by VFSTRU and eligible candidates will be called for the counseling to be held at the Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology & Research (Deemed to be University) premises at Vadlamudi, Guntur District, A.P.
  • It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether they possess the requisite qualification for admission. Having been called for the written test/counseling does not necessarily mean acceptance of the eligibility/admission.
  • The admission offered to a candidate who has been provisionally admitted to the programme will stand cancelled if he/she does not submit the relevant documents in original pertaining to admission(such as Marks Statements, Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate Caste Certificate (if any) etc.) to the Dean-Admissions before the date stipulated in the admission offer.
  • Admissions to the programme will, however, be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/documents of the candidates. In case any discrepancy is noticed even at a later point of time after admission, the management reserves the right to cancel the admission and such a decision shall be final and binding on the candidate.

    • Download M.Sc. CHEMISTRY application form. The filled application along with the DD for Rs. 200/- drawn in favour of VFSTR Application Account, payable at Guntur should be sent to the following address so as to reach before the last date specified. Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of DD.
