      VFSTR offers Robotic & Automation Engineering programs at bachelor, master and PhD levels. Our strong and interactive curriculum incorporates learning with hands-on practice that makes the students capable of taking their career to the next level, be it in the professional engineering practice or in further studies. Right from its inception in 1997, the Department has been focusing on quality teaching with integrated laboratory practice. Effectively connecting the engineering education to the research activities, industry problems and societal needs in different areas of Robotic & Automation Engineering has been the priority of the Department. Availability of modern infrastructure in the Department provides an opportunity to faculty to impart high end teaching, research and developmental activities for the benefit of students and scholars. The Department has 14 academic laboratories, four research centers and one Center of Excellence in Composite Materials those are designed to cater to the needs of academic, industrial and research activities.

      The Department has a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members with right mix of specializations drawn from various reputed institutes such as IITs, NITs and other Universities. All the faculty members are involved in research activities and publish high end research articles besides regular academic activities. The Department of Robotics and Automation Engineering holds its strength in its faculty, state of art infrastructure, innovative teaching methodology, and regular student counseling sessions which plays a role of a catalyst in sharpening the skills of an average student into a confident, highly employable engineer who keeps abreast of the latest and rapidly changing technological trends in the market. For instance, in the present scenario the field of robotics involves design, development and operation of various robots such as, mobile robots, humanoids, service robots and industrial robots etc., VFSTR has initiated and established 80 Lakh worth Robotics Laboratory to train the students of the Department in the design and operation of the robots to meet several society and industrial needs.
