  • Mr. Gamini suresh of the Department has been awarded Ph.D from NIT Warangal
  • VFSTR has been shortlisted for BMW Skillnext>> technical skilling initiative with the efforts of Dr. D Vinay Kumar. As part of the initiative, the Department will be equipped with a brand new, state-of-the-art BMW's proprietary Twin Power Turbo In-Line 4-Cylinder Diesel Engine, Eight-Speed Steptronic Automatic Transmission (Both the engine and transmission system costs approximately Rs. 4.5-6 Lakhs in open market) and a "Train the Trainer" module will be devised and delivered by 40 Master Technicians from BMW Group India Training Centre and BMW Group Plant (Chennai) through extensive workshops at BMW dealerships (for students and faculty members).
