The Department of Mechanical Engineering has excellent infrastructure with sophisticated equipment with the Core laboratories and software packages in CAD lab. Basic Engineering Workshop of the Department is a big asset to the institution which caters the entire mechanical works. One gallery type lecture hall, three conventional class rooms, one seminar hall, one drawing hall and one tutorial class room are available within the Department. All Class rooms are provided with electronic media support to use the advanced teaching-learning aids. In addition, total 15 Laboratories are available with the Department to impart the practical knowledge to students and four research centers and one CoE in composite materials to carry out the research work.

The staff and students of the VFSTR will have access to the latest technologies. Our intranet portal provides personalized online services and access to information and learning resources for all students. Wi-Fi network facility is provided round the clock to have fast and easy access to information. The faculty has easy access to VIMS (Vignan's Information Management System) portal which is used to assess and update the information of student's academic performance.
