The keynote speaker of the conference Dr. C. Raghavendra Rao, Professor, Department of SCIS, University of Hyderabad mentioned the role of intelligent systems in designing human-less cars. In his address he also mentioned how google and amazon using intelligent systems in developing PDAs and other gadgets
On the eve of National Pollution Control Day (2nd and 3rdDecember, 2020), the Environmental Science Forum of Department of Sciences and Humanities (S&H) in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) successfully conducted a national webinar on "Air Pollution and Air Quality Management". Celebrations for the day started with oath taking and reading out the Preamble to the Constitution of India at 11:00 AM. All the faculty members and the students participated actively. International Stress Awareness Day is observed on 6th November every year, with the overall objective is to identify and reduce the stress factors in once life. On behalf of Student Counselling Centre (SCC) in association with Department of Science & Humanities, Office of Dean Student affairs of VFSTR conducted a Webinar on 10th October, 2020 at 3:30 to 4:40 PM for students, faculty and parents of students on pertinent topic "Befriending Stress and Anxiety" by eminent speaker Counselling Psychologist& Founder at The Mind Tab, Hyderabad. The Mind Tab is an online counseling platform that offers a broad range of therapy services for people with mental health concerns.
World Mental Health Day is observed on 10th October every year, with the overall objective of raising awareness of mental health issues around the world and mobilizing efforts in support of mental health. For this occasion On behalf of Student Counselling Centre (SCC), Office of Dean Student affairs of VFSTR conducted a Webinar on 10th October, 2020 at 3:00 to 4:30 PM for students, faculty and parents of students on pertinent topic "Break the Barrier" by eminent speaker Counselling Psychologist, NLP Master trainer & CEO of Genius gym Dr. Visesh who is a renowned expert in Student Counselling from two decades.
It is a paradox that India has a rich culture of worshipping female goddesses and deities but violence is exerted on women in all walks of life. From Nirbhaya to Disha, and more recently the brutality at Hathras, stands as a testimony to the continuing brutality against women. As a society, every time we seem to be hitting new lows. The antidote to this lies in right education. In this context, educating and sensitising youth and making them aware of gender issues is very important.
Vignan's University has organized "FIT INDIA PLOGGING RUN" on 1st October 2020 as part of the Nations mission on Swasth and Swacchata - Staying Fit and Keeping country clean. This Fitness campaign was organised as a part of 151st Birth Anniversary Celebrations of MAHATMA GANDHI. Plogging refers to plucking the waste in surroundings while joggings. All the staff members of the University have actively participated in the event. The event was started by Registrar, Cmde. Dr M.S Raghunathan. All the Deans and Heads of the Departments has taken an active part in it.
Engineer's day celebrations were ogranised on 15th September 2020 to commemorate 159th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya. Honarable Chairman Dr. Lavu Rathaiah advised that the youth should be keen and active to learn the trending technologies, especially in this present pandemic conditions. All the staff members were appreciated for their consistent efforts in develop digital content for online lectures. A few Alumni and Industrialists have given their message to students through digital platforms on the occasion.

The Chairman, Vignan Group has conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to all the teachers for their great contribution in developing E-Content during this pandemic to ensure the online classes go on smoothly. The Vice-Chancellor said that, the future of youngsters in this country is in the hands of teachers and emphasized the role of teachers in building Young India.

Due to this Corona pandemic situation, ICMISC 2020 is completely organized as an Online Conference. The proceedings of the Conference will be published in Springer Series "Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing" indexed by Scopus & DBLP.

It was incepted in the year 2009 and since then, the best minds from b-schools across the nation compete to test their business mettle. The event is famous for its creative challenging tasks, best in class hospitality and unlimited fun.
International day of Yoga was celebrated on 21st June 2020 at VFSTR. Due to the current pandemic, the observation of IDY needs were re-purposed with a focus on social distancing as no mass gathering was possible. All the staff and students were encouraged to pursue yoga from their home for building immunity and relief from stress. Many staff members have positively participated in the celebrations from their home with the family while the hostel staff has practiced yoga in the institute; there was also an E-Yoga session held for celebrating IDY to practice common yoga protocol drill. Students as well as alumni have participated in this E-Yoga session.
