"MATHRIBASHA DIWAS" celebrated on occasion of International Mother language day is a worldwide annual observance held on 21st February to promote awareness of linguistic diversity and cultural diversity and to promote multilingualism. To celebrate this, VFSTR has organised a series of competitions followed by cultural events celebration.
The UEAC (University Extension Activities Council) unit of VFSTR had organized a blood donation camp in the university premises at three places i.e., at the library, pharmacy and U block's on 18.02.2022 in association with "Needs Blood Bank, Guntur". The Blood Donation Camp was started at 9:30 AM by UEAC Wing and continued till 3:00 PM. The honourable incharge Vice-Chancellor and UEAC Programme Officer Dr. K.V. Krishna Kishore and the incharge Registrar Dr. PMV Rao have expressed their happiness for the participation of students in the event.

To celebrate the contributions done by the Women in the field of Science, International Day of Women and Girls in Science is celebrated on 11th February by performing a Street Play on the theme Women Empowerment. 25 students of Theatre Arts clubs of VFSTR have enacted a Street Play by portraying how girls are being suppressed in the society and how many are still being denied of opportunities to study when compared to boys.
"A Nation's culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people".People throughout India celebrated the nation's Republic Day, which was the day to remember when India's constitution came into force on January 26, 1950. Completing the country's growth toward becoming an independent republic. As a part of this event, VFSTR invited honorable Mr.Vijay Kumar, Solution Architect and HR, Sahaj Software Solutions as Chief Guest, and the event started with the peace rally from U-block to H-block OAT and Unfurling of National Flag was done by Dr.K.V.Krishna Kishore, Incharge Vice-Chancellor, and National Anthem followed by a tribute to "Martyr Soldiers" by lighting the Amar Jyothi by respective dignities and Chief Guest.

The office of Dean Student Affairs has organized a special invited talk by Sri LavuAnjaiahChowdary, President of Telugu Association of North America (TANA) on 22nd December 2021 at SangamamSemianr Hall. A total of 435 students have attended the session.
Hon'ble Justice Lavu Nageswara Rao, Judge Supreme Court of India delivered a special lecture on 22-12-2021 to the students of Vignan Institute of Law. Dr. Praveen Kumar, Director, Vignan Institute of Law welcoming the Justice said that he is a judge of impeccable nature with vast experience at the bar and bench. Justice Nageswara Rao addressing the students said the importance of Indian Constitution and the responsibilities of the students and young generation to uphold the constitutional values. He enlightened the students about the fundamental rights and referred to various instances and issues pertaining to fundamental rights like right to privacy, mandatory vaccination policies and it's constitutionality etc. The session was an interactive one where students and staff of Vignan Institute of Law & Civil Services Academy asked many questions pertaining to privacy, independence of judiciary, judicial system and pendency of cases, arbitration and mediation etc.
The Division of Mathematics in association with VFSTR-Mathematics Club organized National Mathematics Day on the eve of 134th birth anniversary of the Indian Mathematics Laureate Shri Srinivasa Ramanujan on 22nd December 2021. The fete was inaugurated with lightening of classical lamp with tributes to Shri Srinivasa Ramanujan portrait by the Head of the Division of Mathematics Dr. P. L. N. Varma accompanied by the special guest "Bala Ganitha Avadhani" Chivra Anagha Lakshmi along with the faculty members Dr. V. Radha Krishna Murthy, Dr. V. Ramakrishna, Dr. P. Sudam Sekhar, Dr. P. Kalpana with other faculty members of the Division of Mathematics.
UDBHAV 2k21 is a national level management meet organized Department of Management Studies which had a spectacular buzz of enthusiastic participants on 18th Dec 2021. Department of Information Technology has organized a 3rd National Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (NCRAIT-2021) on 17 & 18 December 2021. The keynote of the conference is Prof. R.B.V.Subramaanyam, NIT, Warangal. He gave a keynote on reinforcement learning and its applications. He has explained the Markov state, Markov property, Markov reward process, Bellman equation, and research paths in reinforcement learning. Further, he has demonstrated the complete research work publication steps in good journals for research scholars and participants of conference towards research motivation.
The Department of ECE organized a 3-Day IEEE Conference on "IoT for Rural health" (CIRH-2021). Three tracks with six tutorials were proposed during the proceedings as part of the event on Day-1, 16th December 2021.
UEAC Unit of VFSTR had organized a Free Dental Check-up Camp in one of our adopted Village i.e. Vejendla with collaboration of Partha Dental Clinic, Tenali on 04.12.2021. UEAC Program officer Dr.K.V.Krishna Kishore, Juvva Hymavathi Vejendla village Sarpanch and UEAC volunteers inaugurated the camp at 09:00am and is went on up to 2:00pm and they advised all the people to utilize this opportunity. Dr.A.Rohini, (BDS) Head of Bachelor of Dental Surgery with her team of Two technicians from Partha Dental Clinic has attended the camp to check the teeth and identify the problems of the village peoples. Dr.A. Rohini conducted the tests & for the affected member they gave an appointment card to treat at their Hospital. A total of 225 peoples has been examined and given free medicine.
UEAC Unit of VFSTR had organized a Blood Grouping Camp in one of our adopted Village school students ZPH School Sangam Jagarlamudi with help of Needs Blood Bank, Guntur on 03.12.2021. the Head master of ZPH school Sangam Jagarlamudi requested us for conduct Blood Grouping for 8th ,9th and 10th class students. UEAC Program officer Dr.K.V.Krishna Kishore, HM Sivaramakrishna UEAC volunteers participated the camp at 09:00am to 3:00pm. Three technicians from Needs blood bank has attended the camp to check the blood grouping to the school students. A total 35 UEAC volunteers are participated in this camp. A total 650 students have been examined their blood group in this camp. The UEAC Program Officer, UEAC Coordinator and team members coordinated this camp.
Working hard and working smart sometimes can be two different things says Sri.Radheshyam DasPrabhuji,M.Tech Gold medalist, IIT Bombay and Global Excellence award winner during his invited lecture on the "ART OF SMART WORK" on 29th November'2021 organized by VFSTR in association with UMEED foundation, Varansi. A total of 2430 students has actively participated in the lecture at the convocation hall. The program started with the pious prayer song by the students of Music club followed by lightening of the lamp with the guest Sri Radheshyam dasand Head of the Departments.
Constitution Day, also known as "National Law Day", is celebrated in India on 26 November every year to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January 1950. With an aim to celebrate the National Law Day-2021, Vignan Institute of Law (VIL) organized 2 Days event at the campus on 25-26 November 2021. VIL invited Sri Justice U. Durga Prasad Rao, Hon'ble Judge, High Court of Andhra Pradesh to inaugurate the event and address the students on Day 1. He was accompanied with Sri M. Chalapathy Rao, Retd. Distt. & Sessions Judge, Guntur.
Team UEAC students from the Department of Biotechnology had organized an event at ZP High School, Angalakuduru on 23rd November 2021 on the themes: Prevention and treatment of monsoon diseases and Higher Education opportunities after their school education. The event was done under the guidance of NSS Department coordinator Dr. Charles David. A total of 43 students participated in the event. The students of Vignan University were divided into 5 groups and interacted with the students of classes 8, 9, 10th.
Vignan Institute of Law organised a Legal Aid programme on 20-11-2021 at Angalakuduru Village, Guntur (Dist.). Inaugurating the programme Dr. Praveen Kumar, Director spoke about the importance of legal awareness and the responsibilities of young law students towards society. He informed the students and villagers that most of the issues can be solved within the villages by these kinds of legal aid programmes, mediation, conciliation and counselling sessions thereby reducing the burden on the courts. During the programme legal advice was provided on various disputes pertaining to family, property, criminal matters. Faculty, Students of VIL and villagers participated in the programme.

Great day started by giving lecture about great works done by Gandhiji and his contributions to Nation, movements led under the guidance of Gandhiji.
On the Occasion of 152nd Birthday celebration of Mahatma Gandhi University Extension Activity Council (UEAC) of Vignan's Foundation for Science, Technology and Research (deemed to be university) has organized Swachh Bharat programme at Selapadu village on 01.10.2021 from 9.30 AM to 11.30AM.
On the occasion of NSS day, the UEAC (University Extension Activity Council) Unit of VFSTRconducted Free Health Check-up Camp at one of our adopted village Selapadu. Dr.Veesam Manikanta (Pathologist) and three technicians have tested the patients and counselling them. The UEAC Unit of VFSTR has given free medicine to the needy people. The UEAC programme officer Dr.K.V.Krishna Kishore visited the camp and appreciate each and every involved volunteer. Village SarpanchMs. MannyamSireesha and village secretary Mr. Sivarama Krishnaextended theirsupport to the camp. Total 200 peoples have benefited in this camp. Finally, doctor advised the villagers to use boiled water and to avoid seasonal diseases. the village people to aware and preparation on how to deal with health problems in this event total 60 student volunteers have participated in this camp. Mr. D. Suresh Babu NSS Coordinator coordinated the entire programme.

Singh Chairman, University Grants Commission, New Delhi attended as chief guest and Mr. Kwon Young-seup, Consul General of the Republic of Korea, Chennai attended this convocation ceremony as guest of honor. Guests of Honour, Mr. Sonam Wangchuk, Founder Director, Student's Educational and Cultural Movement of Ladakh(SECMOL), and Mr. Veeramachaneni Rama Krishna, Ketogenic Dietician were conferred with Honorary Doctorate Degrees(Honoris Causa).
VFSTR celebrated Independence Day with unprecedented patriotic fervor on Aug 15, 2021. The gamut of celebration commenced at 9:00 AM, to mark the moment that demanded the blood and lives of hundreds of freedom fighters, now completes 74 years today. With decades of British Raj coming to an end, India did certainly awaken to new life and freedom, as was said by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, in his famous speech. Reminiscing the sacrifices by the great leaders, everyone contributed towards the preparations and the celebrations began.
The Department of CSE along with the Department of IT, has planned to organize a series of webinars on emerging technologies for faculty and research scholars to improve the research potentiality and to get updated with emerging trends in the industry. As the part of series of webinars, the Department of Computer Science & Engineering has organized a webinar on "Cyber Crimes and Forensics". This webinar has received an overwhelming response. 345 Faculty members, research scholars, students from various Higher education institutions and Universities have registered and 183 participants attended the webinar. There were 6 international participants too from Ethiopia and Muscat.

There were 12 international participants also.

For this webinar, the resource person is Mr. Raja V, Scientist-C, INFLIBNET, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. The webinar begins at 11 AM through zoom platform. Almost 100 participants have attended this webinar from various institutions. The webinar begins with the Vignan prayer song. Dr. V. Srinivasadesikan as organizing secretary for this webinar welcome all the participants and resource person. During his welcome address mentioned that the Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre, Gandhinagar is an Autonomous Inter-University Centre (IUC) of University Grants Commission, New Delhi (Ministry of Education, Govt. of India).

As part of this series, on 30th July 2021, Dr. Jagadish Chundury gave insights on "IoT ECO SYSTEMS AND INDUSTRY 4.0". Dr. Jagadish Chundury said, IoT is no more a buzzword. Today, IoT is part of every day's life. From home automation to autonomous cars to connected industries, IoT is finding its strides everywhere.
Vignan into Agriculture and commencing 4 year B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture course from this Academic Year 2021-22. Around 32 acres of arable land has been allotted for the purpose and this Vignan's Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences Farm has been named as LARA GREEN. "As part of the University's Carbon Zero initiative" we have committed to plant regularly and as community event every year on 28th July.
As part of the series of webinars, on 23 July 2021, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, VFSTR successfully organized a webinar titled "Modeling Software Architectures using Robin Milner's Calculus of Communicating Systems (CCS)" by Prof. Rushikesh Joshi, an eminent Professor and renowned researcher from IIT Bombay. Calculus of Communicating Systems, shortly known as CCS refers to the theory of communicating systems.
In view of continuous learning and research activities, the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, VFSTR, Vadlamudiwas organized a workshop on "Scientific Writing using LATEX" on July 22 & 23, 2021 by Dr. Sharad Kumar Tiwari. LaTeX, which is pronounced "Lah-tech" is a document preparation system for high-quality typesetting. It is most often used for medium to-large technical or scientific documents but it can be used for almost any form of publishing. LaTeX encourages authors not to worry too much about the appearance of their documents but to concentrate on getting the right content.
This orientation session was conducted by KSCF (Kailash Satyarthi Children Foundation) for the benefit of students of VFSTR (Vignan's Foundation for Science Technology and Research - Deemed to be University) so that they are exposed to the work that is being done by KSCF in protecting the rights of the children and in ending abuse and mistreatment towards them.

Every year Vignan's Civil Services Academy organises orientation session for the first year students to make them aware of this opportunity their providing and how to reap the optimum benefits from this program. This year the orientation webinar took place on 13-07-2021 and we had the privilege of having Mr. Vinay G. B., who is the founder and director of Insights IAS, Bengaluru. The webinar commenced with a welcome note and Introduction of the Speaker by Mr.Wiggins Baka, Coordinator, Civil Services Training, VFSTR. Mr. Vinay G.B., Speaker, set the floor for the session by giving an overview of the level of competition in UPSC Civil Services Examination.

Suvarna Raju, H.O.D, Department of Mechanical Engineering, the webinar on "Fuel Cell Thermodynamics and it's Applications" was held on 10th July 2021 from 2.30PM to 5.00PM at AGF06, U-Block. The resource person was Dr. G. Naga Srinivasulu, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, NIT Warangal. The resource person has rich experience in fuel cell research area including good number of funding projects.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has organized a National level online Webinar on "India's Ascent on the 5g Ladder" on 09-07-2021.The program was inaugurated by Mr.Satish Kanapala, Dr.N.Suman with the presence of Dr.T.Pitchaiah,Head of Department, all faculty members of the department and the esteemed faculties participant from various other colleges of the country. Resource personDr.Kiran Kumar Kuchi, professor of Electrical Engineering Department, IIT Hyderabad had delivered talk on India role on 5G technology, Key features of 5G in various applications like IoT, Massive Machine type communication, Self-driving vehicles,e-health. He has explained the role of Indian contributions in 5Gto standards bodies like 3GPP and ITU. He has demonstrated the indigenously developed 5G Testbed by IITs and IISC, where IIT Hyderbad played a major role. He has discussed about various areas of research in 5G, Massive MIMO and IoT with faculty and research scholars.
The objective of the FDP, organized from 05 - 09 July was to provide idea on deep Learning & Computer Vision. This helps them to understand the domain of Deep Learning & Computer Vision and allow the participants to know the different applications where they can use Deep Learning in multiple fields mainly image processing. The FDP was inaugurated by ATAL along with the 72 FDP's all over India. The resource persons from all over India & World had given their lectures on different topics related to Machine Learning & Computer Vision.

Analysis of data trend-lines from two major global democracy indexes indicates that, the level of democracy around the world has not advanced since around the year 2005 or 2006. The degree of democratic backsliding around the world has arguably been modest overall to this point, some elements of democracy, particularly those associated with liberal democracy, have receded during this period
